Watch Mike’s New “Watauga Miner” video here below on YouTube…..
Recording artist, Mike Scott, just released an original instrumental single and video honoring his grandfather, Anthon Scott who was from Mike’s hometown Watauga, Tennessee. His grandfather also played the banjo and later died of Black Lung from working in the coal mines of West Virginia and throughout the region. Most of the original props & artifacts seen in the video were the actual items that belonged to him. Videographer Stephen Rosney (Rosney Media / Ireland) came to Nashville to shoot the video and captured this deep-rooted history that Mike has from his family heritage. At the closing of the video, you see “Anthon” reading his Bible after a hard day of work in the mines. Before his passing, his grandfather gave land for the building of a new church near the family homeplace. This is a special tribute to Mike’s grandfather whom he has long admired but never met.

Israeli Media was so kind to us and we were excited that they featured some great coverage of the Jacob’s Ladder Festival where we performed May 4 & 5th, 2012 on The Sea of Galilee. This broadcast went throughout the Middle East as well as all of European TV and across the world. This was my third tour there. It was such a blessing to go back there this year with my band. The people at this festival are so “kind and genuine” and really love their “family time and music!” Thanks to IBA, Menachem & Yehudit Vinegrad (Jacob’s Ladder Festival Directors), my band who toured there with me (Keith Williams, Myna Williams, Heath VanWinkle, Scott Napier, and my wife Brenda Marshall Scott) and everyone else who made this tour possible!
Lord Bless Ya and God Bless Israel!
Mike
