*July 22nd, 2023 Mike will be participating as a "Judge" for the "16th Annual "Bluegrass on The Harpeth" music/competition festival on the city square of Franklin, TN. There will be a bluegrass band, individual instrument contest, and even some "clogging" to complete the day! The all day festival starts at 10:00am cst until 10:00pm.

Classroom and music teachers K-12, parents who home school, and group leaders who work with youth in after school programs, Scouting, 4-H and more are welcome to sign up for a free workshop planned for Saturday, April 17, 2021 in Bell Buckle, TN. “American Roots Music—Bluegrass in the Classroom” will take place from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. CT at the Bell Buckle Banquet Hall at 27 Railroad Square, Bell Buckle, TN 37020.
We ask that all participants and presenters wear masks, and the workshop will be set up in a socially distanced format. We will register up to 40 attendees.
The professional development workshop hosted by the IBMA Foundation with help from J Gregory Heinike at the Bell Buckle Café and Valerie Smith & Liberty Pike will be supported by a grant from The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee plus funds from a generous bequest from Dick Barnhart, a lover of bluegrass music.
Catered lunch from the Bell Buckle Café will be offered at $10 each, and an attendance certificate for professional development credit will be issued upon completion of the course. Door prizes will be included (DVDs, CDs and posters). If you plan to have lunch with us, please let us know in advance if you prefer a vegetarian meal or if you have any dietary restrictions.
